I grew up with a mom who always sewed and loved making my own clothes and designing dresses when I was in High School, so I went on to study Fashion Design, and loved every minute of it. From there I worked in the industry and moved to Wales in the UK where I had my first child. My sewing quickly changed from fashion to baby goods.
I loved making unique decor items for her nursery and always spoiled my friends with gifts for their babies and kids. I received a Babynest from my best friend, who is Norwegian, and quickly realised that this item is life changing! The Scandinavians have been making and using Babynests for centuries. I found it hard to go back to a full time job as a new mom, so I started putting my sewing skills to good use, and started making my own range of Babynests and started an Etsy shop. I loved being able to work from home while raising my little girl.
Soon after my son was born, and the business kept growing. We decided to move back to South Africa, and had to start up my business here from scratch!
